Our Faculty
At IIM Amritsar, the Marketing area aims to establish the Institute as a globally recognized and socially responsive entity by conducting relevant research and providing quality marketing education. The faculty focus on developing socially responsible business leaders with strong ethical values. Their approach integrates theory with practice to engage learners and simulate real-world business scenarios. The Marketing area has seven full-time faculty members with doctorates from prestigious institutions in India and abroad. They offer a range of electives tailored to industry needs, spanning flagship, long-duration, and short-duration programs. Visiting industry practitioners also teach several marketing courses. Courses cover traditional topics like Essentials of Marketing, Advanced Marketing Management, Consumer Behavior as well as contemporary subjects such as Digital Marketing and Marketing Analytics. These offerings prepare students for the evolving marketing landscape shaped by digital and social changes. Faculty employ modern teaching methods, including case studies, assignments, and simulations. They also develop and use their own cases, research articles, and projects in collaboration with industry experts. Faculty members conduct impactful research published in leading international journals and have authored numerous research papers, books, and book chapters with renowned publishers. Their research explores diverse areas, including socially relevant ones such as social marketing, green marketing, environment and sustainability, and many more. The faculty actively participates in major conferences, including ANZMAC and the Global Brand Conference, PAN IIMs, PAN IITs, etc., often organized in association with prestigious institutions like the AMA and ACR. Expertise among faculty includes advanced research methods such as Structural Equation Modeling and Meta-Analysis. They also create and deliver customized management development programs (MDPs) for various organizations, including HPCL and IOCL, focusing on leadership and strategic marketing. The Marketing area is committed to helping managers understand marketing principles and apply them effectively in their strategies and decisions
