The Information Technology and Computational Systems Area comprises a group of accomplished young academics working on information systems and computer science. The area facilitates courses in a wide range of programmes including the flagship MBa programmes, the joint MS programmes in collaboration with IIT Ropar and NIT Jalandhar, the PhD programme and a slew of executive education programmes. The faculty members from the Area have been conducting research on a wide range of topics including digital ecosystems, cybersecurity, e-commerce, recommendation systems, IT policy, etc. The research done by the faculty members is published in reputed journals and is presented at various international conferences. The primary focus of the ITCS Area is to equip students with the ability to continuously learn and adapt to the ever-changing technology landscape in the corporate world. This vision guides the Area in the development of its course portfolio and the choice of content delivered in those courses. To ensure that our young students get deeper corporate exposure, the ITCS Area employs industry experts and veteran academics as facilitators in advanced courses offered by the Area.
